Location Permissions

While Using the App

Needed to show your position, record explored areas, and draw your recent track.

Always Allow

Needed only when auto-recording is on, so exploration and your recent path continue when the app is in the background or the screen is locked. You can turn auto-recording off at any time.

See our Privacy Policy for details.

FAQ

Why isn’t my map revealing as I walk?

Why is there a gap in my recent track?

Gaps usually mean location was denied, auto-recording was off, or the app was force-quit. Enable Always location and keep auto-recording on while moving.

How do I change language?

Settings (gear) → Language → Follow System, English, or Simplified Chinese.

How do I hide the recent track?

Settings → turn off Show Recent Track. You can also change track color there.

How do I delete my data?

Remove TraceWorld from your iPhone. All exploration and track data stored by the app on that device will be deleted. There is no cloud backup from us.

Does the app work on iPad?

TraceWorld is designed for iPhone only.
