Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 22, 2026 · Applies to the iOS app My Movie Tickets (Bundle ID: com.ligaofeng0901.apps.movieticket)
Summary: This app is offline-first. Ticket photos and recognition results are stored on your device. We do not run a developer backend that collects your personal data, and we do not require an account. Optional sync writes only to your iCloud Drive.
1. Who we are
My Movie Tickets is a personal movie-stub archive. Developer: ligaofeng0901. Contact details are on the Support page.
2. Data we process
The following is created by you or accessed with your permission, and kept on-device (and optionally in iCloud):
- Ticket photos: images you capture with the camera or import/scan from your photo library.
- Ticket fields & OCR text: title, cinema, showtime, hall, seat, notes, etc. Text recognition runs on-device (Apple Vision).
- Optional location: only if you grant When-In-Use location access and choose to record where you watched a movie.
- Optional sync payloads: if iCloud sync is enabled, ticket records, deletion tombstones, and (optionally) photo copies are written to your iCloud Drive container.
We do not collect account passwords, contacts, advertising identifiers for tracking, or analytics SDK telemetry (as of the current version).
3. System permissions
Photo Library
Used to pick ticket photos into the app and, if you use it, to scan your library on-device for likely movie tickets. Scan and OCR stay on your device; we do not upload your library to a developer server.
Camera
Used to photograph ticket stubs for local storage.
Location (When In Use)
Optional tagging of where you watched a movie. You can deny access and still use archiving and OCR.
4. How we use data
- Only to provide ticket archiving, editing, stats, library-scan review, and sync you enable.
- Not for advertising, sale of personal data, or cross-app tracking.
5. Storage and transfer
- Default: data remains in the app sandbox on your iPhone.
- Optional iCloud Drive sync: data syncs via Apple iCloud among your devices. The developer cannot access your iCloud files.
- OCR runs locally and does not pass through a developer server.
6. Third parties
The current version relies on Apple system frameworks (Photos, Vision, Core Location, iCloud). There are no additional analytics or ads SDKs. If that changes, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy labels.
7. Retention and deletion
- Delete individual tickets inside the app.
- Uninstalling removes on-device sandbox data; iCloud copies (if any) are managed by you via Files / iCloud.
- Because we do not hold a developer-side cloud copy of your archive, we generally cannot remotely erase your data for you.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children and does not require parental information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the effective date on this page when we do.
